Good book. Highly sexual though. LOw stars because of sexual content.

I believe I wore the grooves out on Jim Carroll's "Catholic Boy" album. After reading the "Basketball diaries" I'm amazed he lived long enough to record it. Jim was inspired to start writing a diary at 12 after reading Jack Kerouac's "On the Road". It is a brutally honest look into life on the streets of New York. The progression into heroin addiction and the things he did to get the next high is chilling.
