This is such a well-written and inspiring book. Michelle Obama's story is so interesting and should appeal to all despite what your politics may be. There are lessons to be learned here and her story is told in a way that is not at all foreboding or overwhelming. I enjoyed every page.

Obama is powerfully honest about both the delighful (she likes to shop at Target, she got to meet the Queen of England) and tough issues (infertility, the media spotlight, the focus on her clothes, balancing work and motherhood). I was moved to tears more than once and highly recommend this book.

Great read. An amazing story of how they came from no were and became first black President and First Lady. She comes across like a real person. No life of privilege.

I have always been a Michelle Obama fan. She has done so much for kids. I really enjoyed the book and her story. Was not a big fan of her husbands but understand more now and really have changed my opinion.

Down-to-earth, dedicated, passionate, driven--this is my takeaway after reading Michelle Obama's autobiography. She's a humanitarian at heart, and I'm blown away by how easily and naturally she advocates for others; this is her way of making the world a better place. I loved especially the peeks into her relationship with her husband (oh, that marriage proposal!), her girls, and her inner circle. An eye-opening and human view into her life. I'm so very glad to have read her story. She makes me feel like I can and should do more. 4.5 stars

I thought I would like this book but I didn't finish it

The publishers printed it in a print too small with too many words on each page, should've been printed better

The first 50 pages were just plain boring, I don't need to know every tiny little detail of her growing up, what she wore what she ate where she slept etc etc etc, that is just plain boring

I couldn't continue because the small print hurt my eyes but I stick with my low rating as I found it to be on the me, myself and I format that she was the only African American that ever did anything and too much detail not necessary, made it too boring

But I admire her and thought she was a good First Lady and represented our country very well
