very mysterious...didn't know who the villain was until the very end. good read.

Not up to Henderson's usually story telling. It was good, although I was disappointed in the ending. Maybe there'll be a sequel and I can satisfy my curiosity.

Christian fiction. Lots of plot twists, a page-turner!

Another great one by Dee Henderson!
Rae Gabriella left the FBI after years of dedicated service when a case went ugly. She accepts a position as a private detective at Chapel Detective Agency II, headed by her former Fed partner Bruce Chapel in Justice, Illinois though she has doubts about working with her former lover, but her hometown is nearby so she can visit family and she has to start somewhere.
Justice County Sheriff Nathan Justice has his hands full with a strike that could turn violent and his grandfather. However, he soon has more to deal with when Peggy Worth is found dead in her hotel room, five rooms away from where Rae is staying; a woman she met earlier in the day. Peggy's parents hire Rae to investigate what seemed likely a natural death in her sleep of a twenty-eight years old healthy female. Soon Bruce, Rae and Nathan know that a serial killer murders women in their hotel room without a whisper or a hint of a struggle, but never takes their money or jewelry so no motive has surfaced. Whereas she seeks justice, he fears she could be next.
Enjoyed this story.

Another great book from Dee Henderson. I loved the real life mix of life and living for God.
Excellent read.....this was my first Dee Henderson book and I received it by accident! It certainly won't be the last of her books I read!
Reviting! Couldn't put the book down til I read the WHOLE THING...
Not what I expected...Dee definitley has a gift for writing suspence, but this book is NOT one of her best. I would suggest the O'Malley series (my favorites), way over this book.
Dee Henderson does it again. Very suspenseful and a page turner. This should be a series. A woman, Gabriella, who worked as an agent in DC, moves to a small town in Illinois, to work with an old friend and ex-agent, Bruce, who runs a private investigation business. The night she hits town a murder takes place in the same hotel she is staying. All signs point to natural causes but both her and the town sheriff believe there is more then what the autopsy reports. Two other women die and that leaves her as a target. There are some suspicious happenings in town and they are on the trail.
Another really good book by Dee Henderson
This was one of the first Dee Henderson books we read. Make the discovery that we really like this TYPE of book. A little suspense was what we didnt know we would like.
Very enjoyable Dee Hernderson book. It is set to be the start of a new series. The main character Rae has just quit being an undercover FBI agents (last mission went bad) and has taken an old friends offer to be his partner in a detective agency in a small town. They join forces with the Town sherrif and al become friends. Myster revolves around a young woman reporter that dies in a hotel. Rae was the last to see her alive and the parents come to her to answer questions of why she was in town.
Good mystery story, light on the love story. Leaves you waiting for the next one in the series? Good one to read!
A good suspensful read by Dee Henderson - one of my favorite authors!
Good Book! I think it is the first book of what will be a series.
This was my first book by her! I liked it very much. Kept the reader guessing and interested!! Would not hesitate to read her again!
I liked the murder-mystery aspect of this novel, with the subtle romantic themes woven through. Though it is Christian Fiction, it did not beat you over the head with long rambling prostelyzing. I liked the book well enough to make it a recent book selection for my Christian Fiction book club, however, we all agreed there were some gaps in the book (references made earlier, then never mentioned or followed up with later on). We were all left at the end wondering, "What next?" This must be part of a series.
Fun read that keeps your attention. There are also some wonderfully insightful conversations between the main characters about the nature of God and our relationship with Him. Definitely not preachy or heavy, just mixed in nicely.
I believe this is part of a series. The main character is Rae Gabriella picking up the pieces of her life after a traumatic event. This is well written and has made me eager to read the preceeding books.
Loved this book. Very enjoyable read. It was a great story with so much detail and great characters! Dee Henderson does it again!
Great book! Well written, good character development, good plot. Shows the real side of walking the walk. Loved it.
