I do love this author and both of her series. I'm sad there is only two in this one. Really one of the very best books I've ever read.

Well, I enjoyed this one - consistent writing, though the sensuality overall has been more toned down.
My main problem is that this is the same story as the Black Jewels trilogy without the interesting characters. The conflict was a little different, but the resolution was exactly the same. So, while it was quite solid the first time around... it was... somewhat lacking now. Although it definitely solved the problem of what to read next - there is a reason her first series was the most successful and it has been some time since I last re-read it, so that's what I'll read - and heartily enjoy - next.

Tells the story of good versus evil. Characters are described vividly. Love the history and story of Ephemera and Elander that Bishop weaves throughout the novel.
