First off I love Jenny McCarthy. She is sooo funny she makes me laugh so hard I practically joked on my milk. I think her crudiness is extremely funny. I read this book in one sitting and laughed through out the whole book. My husband kept asking, "What's so funny?" and " I thought you were reading a baby book?" I think he felt a little left out. This book is great. A great book to add to your list of baby books you need to read before the baby comes.

This book didn't live up to my expectations. I heard tons of women rave about it and while it was humorous enough, I didn't like McCarthy's close minded views of breastfeeding or birthing naturally sans drugs. I didn't want to expect to read any judgments in this book, and being an emotional pregnant woman already sensitive to my choices for feeding and birthing, I probably would've passed had I known about them.
That said, she's quite honest about many of the dirtier details of pregnancy, so it's nice knowing that even Playmates deal with the same symptoms.

A hilarious look at the pains and laughs of pregnancy. The author shares her highly personal and funny pregnancy experience. There are aches and pains and symptoms not every preggo mother would endure, but it's fun to read and grin along with her. You may not learn much from this book but at least you'll feel better you're not the only one going through this.

A witty and upfront look at the ups and downs, although mostly downs, of pregnancy. Jenny McCarthy is refreshingly honest. If you don't like "too much personal information", then this is not a book for you. If you are pregnant now, it gives you an honest look at some things you might experience that you may be embarassed to talk about with even your closest friends. If you are not pregnant, but have been, it allows you to have a good laugh remembering all the bad things about pregnancy. Overall, a quick and funny read.

This book is a hilarious look at all the changes that take place during pregancy - some of them even a bit humiliating. But it's written in such a light hearted way you will find yourself saying "oh that happens to me" or "i'm not the only one" over and over again. It's good for all moms, but especially 1st time moms who wonder what the heck is happening to them both emotionally and physically! A must have!

This was my favorite book to read when I was pregnant. I had What To Expect When You're Expecting and all the other typical pregnancy books, but this was by far my favorite. I would recommend it above all others. It was honest and straightforward from a pregnant woman's point of view. Made you feel like you weren't alone and crazy. Awesome book!

When I am pregnant I LOVE to read pregnancy books. Being pregnant with my 5th, I really needed something to different to read besides the basic "textbook" pregnancy books with all the same info. This book was perfect! A great reminder of all the not so fun things that come with being pregnant. This hilarious book is a great read, regardless of if it's your 1st or 15th pregnancy!

Great book! It feels like you are having a conversation with a girlfriend about her pregnancy. It's really short - I read it in 3 days in small chunks. Very entertaining, yet informative. It makes you feel like you aren't alone. Jenny is very funny - I will be reading her new book next!

So I found out I was pregnant and bought this book. I actually did laugh out loud more than once. I felt a kinship with Ms. McCarthy because I am feeling some of the things she felt and I also hope to never get some of the things she did.
I love how truthful and just open she is about everything, I like the truth flat out instead of sugarcoated and Ms. McCarthy does that for you.
Its a light, cute, read and I was very happy I bought this one because it made me feel a bit less alone than I've been feeling as of late. I will definitely pick up more books by her if she writes them.

I am reading this book for the 3rd time since owning it. OMG!!! It's comical. However. I don't have kids, so listening to her, kinda makes me go... Oh hell no. However on this last read, in the middle of the book now. I found it more comical then the other times I read it. I'm sure that not every Mother has experianced everything in this book and some have, and much more. This is a great read for anyone really. It will keep you laughing. Jenny is a very good author. I personally can't wait till she writes some more. Peace!

I guess I had really high expectations of this book because of the things I had heard. Don't get me wrong. I enjoyed it, but it just didn't live up to what people said. I never laughed out loud or anything like that...but I really did find myself nodding my head at times because I had gone through the same thing. A great read if you are looking for a more honest and non-medical look at your pregnancy. After all...you can only read so many medical books before your head starts to spin, right?

My neighbor kept telling me that this is the funniest book in the world and that I really need to read it and so I did...I did find myself laughing a few times but I do beleive my neighbor must have been preggers when she read this because it just did not have the same effect on me as it did her.

LOVE this book. When I was pregnant her books were the ONLY ones that I read. Belly Laughs and Baby Laughs were soo soo funny and I couldn't put them down. I think I finished both in a day. I love Jenny McCarthy and she is HILARIOUS! If you are pregnant or have a friend expecting buy her these 2 books. She will love them.

If you are looking for dreamy and general outlines of the beautiful moments preceding labor and delivery of a baby, trust me and look elsewhere!
