Absolutely great story. While the "whodunit" part was easy to figure out, the rest of the story more than makes up for it. The plot was strong and the range of emotions that the characters go through was very realistic.
A hit and Run accident bring two people together who celebrate new love, yet are torn by conflicting secrets. Twists and turns in this novel will keep the pages turning.
A sweet romance by Nicholas Sparks that takes place in New Bern, NC. A sheriff who lost his loving wife meets a new teacher in town just as the investigation into his wife's tragic death receives new evidence.
This one is not my favorite. When you begin to notice how often an author uses one of his favorite words, or if you start to think, "I don't CARE about the details of how she brushed her hair," it's time to put the book down and read something different. Just my opinion!
This was my first Nicholas Sparks book. I just had to see for myself after all of the rave reviews. I expected to be WOWed. I just did not get it. Don't get me wrong, it was OK, I read it through, but it wasn't one of those books that called to be read at 4am with droopy eyelids. It was predictable. I am sorry to say i just dont get what all the hype is about this author, maybe I need to try another of his books but I am in no hurry.
This book initially drew me in but quickly caused me to lose interest. While I cannot say that I definitely know how this book ends, I have a fairly good idea that I figured it out early on. After having read many other reviews of this book, I have come to the conclusion that it probably ends the way I think. While this alone was not the reason I quit reading, it does keep me from ever wanting to finish the book. What caused me to lose interest was how dry the story line was. I know many people are huge Nicholas Sparks fans, but I am not one of them. I think his books are rather amateurish at best. This one was definitely not worth my time.
This is another good book, like all his stories. However, I did not like how it ended. He went into detail in the beginning and through the middle. But, once all is revealed, it just kind of comes to a quick end with not nearly enough information. It was as if he had a limit on the pages and had to abreviate the end. This could go on further into the story, easily.
Great story, though it was pretty obvious to figure out who did it, didn't take me long at all though it was still shocking. Nicholas Sparks never disappoints me, would love to see this one made into a film like some of his others!
An attention grabing story of loss, death, love, family. A beautifully written stroy of a widower raising his son and his effor to live after the death of his wife. There is a lot of suspense and drams with love and family binding. Itruly enjoyed reading.
