This is such a fun read-aloud and should be a classic like its' sister book THE BEST CHRISTMAS PAGEANT EVER. The Herdmans are back stealing candy and terrorizing the school kids, but inadvertently pull off the biggest and best Halloween Trick AND Treat of the century! I laughed and laughed, and then spent the rest of the day trying to figure out how such a trick could be duplicated.

This book is cute. Are the Herdmans as evil as everybody thinks? What makes Halloween fun? I liked the Best Christmas Ever better, but this one is fun, too.

it was light hearted with a fun mood. it went perfect with the candy and the costumes of halloween. i hope you enjoy it as much as i did
