We love this book. I read it as a young kid, hoping my toddler son would like it as much. His enthusiasm for this sweet and funny tale exceeded my expectations by miles.

A relic from times when domestic life was based on what hubby earns and what wifey wants to spend it on. Not a book I want to raise my children with, but an interesting look at gender roles at the time of publication -- would be great for a college class to explore as such!

From the Dr Seuss I can read it by myself beginner books. This is a beautiful gift book. Mr and Mrs Bird live in a lovely nest in a bird house, but as people are these birds who think they need a new nest. But other creatures inhabit their projected nest sites. They found a site in a church bell tower and built a nest. GUess what happened? The Bell ringer rang the bell and blasted away the birds? And what do you think that they decided.Read the book and find out. Not only will this book teach your child to read;there are several lessons to learn here.
