First, thank you to GoodReads and Harper Collins for the drawing that put this book in my hands. I was already a Fan of JA Jance and JP Beaumont, so I was tickled to receive this in the mail. As for the book itself, I could not put it down. You weren't sure where the next turn was coming or when the next character would be added. I also love how Jance adds little side thoughts, the kinds of things we might be thinking in the background if we were involved in the conversation. I can usually have these mysteries figured out by the middle of the book. Not so in this case. I was so engrossed in reading, that I was 3/4 of the way through before I realized I had not figured it our, nor had I even tried.

Another Jance to love. Wonderful story, lots of truths about our youth and the destruction of the family unit. Also truths about the people who prey on our youth if we are not watchful. Jance continues to write wonderful stories for us to read. Fast moving, good mystery, sad and fulfilling at the same time. She never disappoints.

Another very good book by J.A. Jance. The author hasn't written about J.P. Beaumont for awhile so it was good to read about the Seattle Investigator again. He uncovers a dark and deadly conspiracy and corruption deep into the Washington State government. It is a timely novel about childish pranks through computers, cell phones and the internet that involves the Governor and her family.

I view the Beaumont books as Jance's best recurring character. In my opinion this is the best of that series. Her treatment of the location and characters is done very well and makes for a very interesting and enjoyable read.

I love J.A. Jance and all of her books. I read this one and enjoyed it, however, feel that it is not one of her better ones. I do love the character J.P. Beaumont and find him to be an interesting guy but this particular book was rather flat and the story line did not capture my imagination at all.

This is the first JP Beaumont book (nothing liking starting in the middle) I hate to go back and read the others if they build on each other, but I think I will give it a try since this one was great. Lots of thrills, I have read the Joanna Brady series and this one was a lot like those.

Really enjoyed this book, a good page turner. I wouldn't call it exactly funny, it is a thriller after all, but the story is told from the point of view of the main character, who has a humorous streak in him.

Another great story in the ongoing J. P. Beaumont saga; teen snuff film found on teen's phone, followed by his suicide. Was this just cyber bullying, or something more? Further contact from Beau's father's family moves the character development further down the road. If you haven't read any of this series, start from the beginning and get to know the characters. This author has never disappointed me, with any of her series. J.P. Beaumont homicide detective series is set in Washington State, Joanna Brady, sheriff stories take place in Arizona. Two more mystery series wrap up her contribution to this genre, and are also worth reading.

This series character J.P. Beaumont (Beau) is my favorite character. His character is based in Seattle where he started out in the local PD, worked up to detective and then became a special investigator for the State's Attorney. I love J.A. Jance's writing. My friend is sensitive to foul language and you won't find any in her books. They move quickly, but she manages to fill in the depth of the characters as she goes. Always a great mystery with a good ending.
My book is like brand new.

It was just okay. I found it to be very slow moving. I scanned some pages just to get it done faster.

When Beau discovers a snuff film recorded on a smart phoneâa horrific crime that has a devastating effect on two troubled teensâhis investigation unleashes a firestorm that blazes all the way up through the halls of Washington state government.

Still whining about the reversible lanes on the floating bridges years after they have been changed.
