1/3 vulgar look into the deepest recesses of Rimmer's mind, 1/3 rehash of old shows, 1/3 original and sparkling. If you're a fan of the show you may like this book -- or you may not. Tastes may vary.
I read this book about fifteen years ago and really enjoyed it. At the time I was not a fan of space opera and I thought that this was funny and it made fun of the genre a little bit. I remember thinking that I thought that this was funniier than the Hitchhikers Guide, but I was fifteen , so what did I know. If you are looking for a fun light read and you are swapping it, what do you have to lose?
It's a worthy and funny sequel. Reaching the end I remember saying "Noooooo, this can't be the end, I want more." You'll want more too.
Another awesome Red Dwarf book. A very quick read.
Great book, even greater sci-fi comedy series. This book will have you lauging out loud quite often.
This was a fairly quick read and a lot of the material is the same as the series. I was dissapointed with this book though because they changed things from the series. I think it could have been written better to add to the series rather than attempt to make them different.
