The 2nd book in this series. Fast and entertaining book. I liked this book just as much as the first, maybe a little more. Abby gets herself mucked up with the wrong people and sets out to help solve another mystery. And all the while she not just having a bad day, but a bad month! She's funny, fiesty and doesn't take any guff from anyone. I'm looking forward to reading the next in the series.

Didnt think the second book could possibly be as good as the first. Was I surprised. Abbey is a terrific character. Makes me wish I knew her. So far this series is one that you cant wait to get to the end to see how it turns out, but you hate to finish because you dont want to leave that world.

despite it's title not really a cosy, really good, but scarier than i expected, between the mob and the rapist, the attempts on her life were a little too "real",
but, i really enjoyed it anyways... and can't wait to read more.
oh yeah.. AND it had a dachshund in it too!

2nd book in the series. Really enjoy this author. The main character is very likeable. She tends to keep getting herself in trouble. Can't wait to read the 3rd book.

Another fun story in the Psychic Eye series. In this one, Abby agrees to read tarot cards at a wedding, and lands herself in hot water with the Mob.

Book two in the series, but you don't have to read them in order to enjoy them. This I found is a really good series, not as chic lit as i thought it would be-has some body to the stories. Abby is a funny, take no crap from anyone, psychic who works for the police dept. but now the mob wants her to help them also. This is mystery, suspense and fun really fun. I very much enjoyed this series of books.

The second in her series about Abby Cooper is an exciting, fast-paced book. Abby is anxiously awaiting the return of Dutch, who is attending FBI school. Their romantic reunion was cut because Abby had to return a favor to a friend, who is another psychic. Their task is to do tarot card readings at a wedding. Unfortunately, Abby realizes too late that it is a wedding of the daughter of a Greek mob boss. Things go downhill from there. On top of this, there is a sadistic rapist roaming their small town that the police are hoping Abby can help them find and stop. Between the mob and the rapist, Abby has one horror after another. She is not happy at all when she meets Dutch's new FBI partner, "Joe" who a gorgeous woman with a gorgeous body and has her eyes on Dutch. I enjoyed this book and didn't want to put it down until I finished it! I surely hope there is a #3 around. :)

I have read 3 of the psychic eye books, and I have enjoyed each of them. This is the second book in the series. The main character, Abbie is a psychic who also can tell when someone is lying. She can tell if someone is living or dead when she sees their photograph. How in the world did she get tangled up with the mob? Such fun reading!

The mystery is intelligent, the suspense in this book was actually quite good and the adventure plot, with Abby
trying to stay one step ahead of the mob. There are several plot threads woven through the story, and none of
them is given less than its due. I wondered how each of the cases would be resolved. And to top it off, all the
threads end up intertwining somewhere along the path--and not in an awkward, coincidental way. I found the
writing style and characters very believable and fun and, all of the characters from the first book remain in this
one. Abby is an intriguing character herself being a psychic gives the whole mystery novel thing a good twist.
I truly enjoyed this book, and I'm planning to latch on the other books written by V. Laurie soon.

Abby agrees to help her friend Kendall entertain at a wedding reception. When they realize its a Mob wedding, they hi-tail it out of there only to be confronted with even more problems. Theres a serial rapist on the prowl, and Abby gets "persuaded" by the Mob Don to help him find his missing wife.
Abby finds herself in the middle of non-stop action but she uses her witty psychic skills to solve the crime and get out of the mess. This is a great series and I recommend it to all mystery and paranormal fans. looking forward to starting the next one!

Excellent series. Abby is a little annoying sometimes when she insists on putting herself at risk like the girl in a B movie who learns there's a monster in the basement and rushes down to check it out, but the author's "voice" is very readable and the plot is good.

Quick read! Not as good as the first one, but still a solid, enjoyable book. Looking forward to reading the third!
fun series
I *almost* threw this book across the room! Abby did several dumbass things and had me yelling. For example: At the wedding she reads at she actually TELLS one of attendees she knows he has killed before. (Why do that!?) Of course that gets attention. Oh look, I'm going to hire you and you can't say no! Through all this, Abby tries to handle all of this by herself and tells lie after lie, all the while digging herself deeper and deeper. She has a friend in the police department that she trusts. Did she tell him/ask for advice/help? Nope. Pretty sweet- her boyfriend is a FBI agent. What about him? Nope.
Then there's Dutch. I. Don't. Like. Him. He has the nerve to make her feel guilty when he's going away on assignment? He has the nerve to diss what she does? He has the nerve to be embarrassed by her profession? Excuse me, but Abby needs to dump him and dump permanently.
I've read the synopsis for future books, but I can wish, right? I'm on the fence about continuing this series. Abby was TSTL in this one and I don't like her main squeeze. Is book 3 better? Do the characters redeem themselves?
I gave a 3 because it had me entertained me and had some decent twists.

Great book, love this series. Nice to read a book where the female character doesn't have to have a man in her life.
While I really enjoyed the first book, Abbie became a real pain in this one. If she wasn't screeching at poor Dutch, she was crying. Sreech, cry, screech, crty. It made me want to wack her upside the head and tell her to get a backbone! I'm really hoping the 3rd one is better (it's got a ghost).
Second in the series. Almost but not quite as cute and fluffy as the first, with Abby getting into trouble with the mob. You could spend a long time speculating on how Abby's psychic powers work and why she doesn't use them when you think she ought to. But it's best just to go with the flow here. Loved the beginning scenes with the sister. I liked Abby's attempts to get herself out of the situation, at times she had some good ideas, but the decision of the mob family at the very end seemed doubtful. Not as fond of how Abby flies off the handle whenever the boyfriend is around - why isn't she asking her intuition about him (oh wait, I said I wasn't going to do that). Anyway, still fun, still willing to read the next in the series.
this series gets better with each book.
Another fun Abby Cooper mystery. This time it involves a tarot deck! From a non-smoking home.
