I have read all the Band of Brothers related books, but I still like the one I read 30 years ago the best. Look for a book called Curahee. I don't remember who wrote it, or if it was by one of the original band of brothers, but it was an excellent telling of the experience of parachuting into Normandy. Written by one of the men who did such a thing.
I would recommend Dick Winters book too. It was great to hear his story as well.

Major Winters is a truly amazing man along with the others from the 101st Airborne. This book is a great addition to the series.

Fantastic 1st person account on Easy Company in WWII. Major Dick Winter's 1st person view of the harrowing account of war with his team was gripping, honest, and humble. Watched the HBO mini series "Band of Brothers" and was neat to put the book to the TV series. Major Winters candid and detailed information was fascinating

If you've read Band of Brothers by Stephen Ambrose or seen the HBO miniseries, then you know about Major Dick Winters, leader of Easy Company through much of WWII. If not, this book is a good place to start. I believe it is better than the Ambrose book and contains much of the same information, but it is all told from Winters' perspective.
