Reading the back cover blurb for the book a reader knows that the main character Molly Whitcomb has a secret that is reputation-ruin worthy. After reading the first chapter a reader knows what that secret is. I am quite certain there will be some readers who will give up right there on this book, but oh how I wish you would not.
This is not a story about making mistakes and moving on with life. This is a story about being a fallible human and living with it. There are times in life where your insides are screaming to just let this moment be gone, or just to be "beyond the moment". Yet, our heavenly Father knows what is best for us.
This novel is a sequel, but is quite a stand alone. It is powerful and edgy and really pushes the limits of your conscience and what-if scenarios. I highly recommend this read as one to deepen your heart and convictions and see the inside of some people you might have just ignored in different circumstances. Think hard about casting those stones.
Read this book and grow and learn from the experience.

This is an amazing book! It is about an extremely sensitive subject for that day and time. We all make mistakes....no one this side of heaven came say that we don't. This book is about second chances, even when you think you don't deserve one.
I love strong heroines and Molly is just that. Tamera Alexander paints her scenes so vividly and her characters so realistic! She is easily becoming my favorite author.
I can't wait to start Within My Heart, the next book. I've loved Rachel and Dr. Brookston since the first book so I'm really loving forward to their story!

One of the best books I've read this year. Absolutely incredible.
This book is sure to keep you turning the pages to find out what happens to the characters you become involved with. Tamera Alexander writes of a situation, one that most of us have been in, where you just couldn't wait to be beyond this moment. Another book that I have finished where I will find difficulty picking out some other book to read next. This was definitely a book that I read in one sitting. . .and was sorry to see the story end.

A delightful story about a professor who is "driven" to the west by a pivotal secret. The book was a fast read and the situations in the story were very realistic. It was a story I could relate to in the modern day when one faces the judgements of others and how that determines our choices and reactions. I cannot wait to read the last book in this series!
Love Alexander's writing--great story lines with good intrigue and conclusions. If you enjoy good stories written from a wholesome perspective, you will enjoy her books.

I liked this story. I like that it causes people to take a look at themselves and how they look at others and how Jesus requires us to look at others. Molly has made a mistake and has come to Timber Ridge to be the school teacher vs college professor at home. Her mistake, when discovered will most likely terminate her employment and the relationship that has developed between her and the sheriff. There is adventure at the beginning of the book that makes you appreciate modern travel conveniences. There is ratiality issues. It's a good story. Enjoy!
