A book about how our society's obsession with political correctness has gone too far, causing distortion of news being reported rather than actual coverage of events as they happen.

Excellent read, especially if you want to know just how they do it. It's full of quotes and examples, not just opinion.

The allegations of liberal bias is not a new one, however, this author did reval some rather disturbing facts ( at least as he saw them) about our news reporting. Interesting, but somewhat disturbing in spots.

Brilliant book by a mainstream media insider who is not even a conservative! His personal experiences and knowledge of the makeup of America's newsrooms really sheds light on this issue. Good reading!

a hilarious insider's account about how the media puts a liberal spin on the news. His writing style is fun and informative.
I didn't care for this book at all...although Goldberg had some interesting points, it seemed like he just wrote this book for revenge on his former co-workers, contrary to what he says regarding that belief. When I have watched the evening news, I really don't care what reporter's viewpoints are, even if the way they deliver the news is supposed to influence how the viewers think. In fact, I think TV news is so full of unimportant fluff that I stick to reading news on websites instead. Bernard Goldberg makes such a big point of talking about the politics behind the scenes of the news world, but that doesn't surprise me, as there are politics behind nearly every line of major work or corporation. Dan Rather being a two-faced old-fashioned fuddy-duddy is not a new concept to me. :)

As good as I thought Goldberg's book Bias was, Arrogance is even better. If you think that the bias in news programs or in the paper is limited to how they handle politicians, read this. It will open your eyes to the many ways the public is being "handled" by the media.
