I almost didn't listen to this book because I was so turned off by Elizabeth Gilbert's book "Committed." I didn't enjoy that one and was afraid this one would be just as irritating. I was wrong. I can admit when I'm wrong, although I don't enjoy it. ;~D
I've read and listened to a lot of self-help books in my lifetime and this has got to be one of the most inspiring ever. I'm more motivated than ever to work on a project I've been putting off for years. I think there was some fear it wouldn't be perfect, and some fear that the idea will grow into something that I have more inclination for than time.
The stories in this book are wonderful and made me shake my head in knowing agreement. People who have come so far only to fall short of greatness, simply because they quit trying. Others, climbing, looking ahead to the summit of their greatest fears and then conquering them. I'm excited, inspired, and ready. Thank you Elizabeth Gilbert for a wonderful book. I'm a fan again!
