Despite Livy and Vic being some of my favorite characters, this book wasn't as funny as the others. I think she is making the right decision to take a break from the Pride series. In no way is this a bad book, there are some great moments with laugh-out-loud humor and typical violent antics. Definitely one of the most accurate portrayal of Asians I have read in a while. That is if we were thieves and can shift into honey badgers.

You get some resolutions from the ongoing big game hunter plotline and there are some nice cameos from past characters.

Great read!!!! You must have a high tolerance for crude, crass humor and hijinks.

Just an alternate perspective. I didn't laugh once. I may have smiled on occasion. But, it just wasn't funny. It was mildly entertaining & worth reading as part of the series...
I like the unique relationships she develops, this one included. The Honey Badgers were interesting characters. Having familiar characters participating adds dimension to the storyline.
Overall 3.75* just not enough to bump me up into the 4*...and not a favorite in the series.
It seems Shelly is relying more & more on violence for her "humor"...she's lost her balance & edge, IMHO. Blood, gore, murder & pain are not things that I find particularly funny.

OMG, This was so freaking awesome, hilarious, and a stay up later to finish story. I have never laugh so hard before reading a book but I did this one. Honey Badger Livy and a Bear Siberian Tiger hybrid Vic with a bunch of Smiths, Shaws, wild dogs badly singing and Livys HB families grouped together and you get one awesome story. I am sadly to say this book is also about hoe Livys dad was actually murdered and hoe Livy found the truth in an apartment she B & E into and found her father in HB formed stuffed and is desperate to take revenge and get the hidden closure for the horrible way her father was wronged.
