Very cute, funny vampire story. This was a fun read with just the right amount of humor thrown in. I am looking forward to the next in the series to see how things go with the main characters.

Sarah Dearly was just turned into a vampire, and she isn't happy about it. The past week has been hell, she's just lost her job, and the one vampire she cares for wants to kill himself. Welcome to the life of Sarah Dearly, and her hilarious romp through new vampire territory.
This debut novel by Michelle Rowen was a terrific read, and I look forward to the sequel, Fanged & Fabulous, due around Spring 2007. She also wrote one of the chapters of Bewitched, Bothered & BeVampyred, which I have waiting on my TBR and am even more anxious to read now. The story reminded me somewhat of Betsy in MJD's Undead series; Sarah's just as quirky and funny, if not more so.

I thought this book was promising. I liked the idea of a blind date from hell turning out to be even worse then listening to the man's bowel problems and what him and his mom do for fun on Tuesdays nights. But somewhere along the way I found I just couldn't get into it. I didn't think the humor was that funny and the main vamps name bugged me crazy because I couldn't pronounce it. I did finish it and I thought some of the secondary characters had promise so I rated this right in the middle. I will read the next in the series because sometimes a book I think isn't that great is actually my issues and not the authors.
I would recommend this book to those who like paranormal on the lighter side like Kimberly Raye, MaryJanice Davidson and Lynsay Sands. Not that I think this offering is up to par with those seasoned ladies but the book does have a similar feel to it.

Kinda cute. Not an erotic type story--more clever and fun. I don't think there was even one "all the way" sex scene in the book. I'd read the next one if it becomes a series.

"Dear Mom, I might be a wee bit late for Cousin Missy's wedding. It's been a tough week. Turns out, my blind date from hell was literally FROM HELL! Guy bit me. Next thing I know I'm being chased all over the city by vampire hunters. Oh, and did I mention, I got fired, too?"
This hilariously funny romp through the underworld of Toronto is worth every penny I spent on it, and you will enjoy it immensely too.
