This book was completely awesome. The first 30 pages or so were a bore, but gave you a lot of needed info.
Thomas Hunter has a special gift. When he falls asleep in one world, he wakes up in the next. At first, everything is great until he learns information that changes reality as it is. What he does in one world can effect what happens in another. Ted Dekker wrote an amazing book. I love it!

Ted Dekker brilliantly creates a mythical world which parallel's this world. It took many chapters to "get into" the plot but when I did, I WAS HOOKED and FLEW through the second half!!!

Do not read this before bed unless you don't plan to sleep. It is very exciting.

I could not put this book down, sadly I finished it yesterday :(

black is an incredible story of evil and rescue ,betrayel and love, pursuit and death .only hunter can stop it and he has been killed-twice.

HMMMM. I did like this book, but did not love it. It's more of a Science Fiction/Fantasy. I had to ask others who've read this book to help me along so I could understand it a bit better.
I enjoy all Ted Dekker books. This one weaves reality and dreams(?)/alternate realities.
Oh wow! This book reminds me of the Chronicles of Narnia, just more action and suspense. The parallel realities are exhausting to keep up with, but you just have to see what happens next! I cannot wait to read the next one in the series, anyone done with Red yet?

This trilogy by Ted Dekker is awesome! Like all his books, this first book of the trilogy is a page-turner--hard to put down. I began reading this trilogy with the third book, "White," and I still like it the best. But this one gives the history of Tom's alternate reality world. I love the way Tom's alternate reality draws such a great picture of true spiritual reality as revealed in the Bible. His books give me a more vivid understanding of spiritual truth.
Fantasy or reality? Science fiction or thriller? Has both options each ever you like.
