Lost at sea! When their plane crashes in the Caribbean, Alec and the Black Stallion are swept apart-to struggle for their lives in shark-infested waters. While Alec manages to make it safely to civilization, the exhausted stallion lets the currents carry him to a coral island that is home to a deadly vampire bat as well as a herd of wild horses. One stallion in particular, with flame in his eyes and a coat the color of fire, is clearly the veteran of hundreds of battles. And he's not about to allow this dark intruder onto his turf unchallenged. Can the Black survive? And will he ever be reunited with the boy he loves?

This is one of the greatest series of animal stories of all time, beginning with "The Black Stallion." I read them all when I was a kid and would recommend them!!
