I really liked this stand alone from Rosenfelt. I've read most of his books and all the Andy Carpenter series, I had a few that I didn't like at all but I recommend this one---it is a very easy read, short chapters, and if you have the time you can read it in one day, it is less than 300 pages and that is a plus.
It doesn't have pages and pages of unnecessary sex scenes and it isn't littered with foul language, that is a huge plus for people that want a good book to read without all that other crap.
