Cute little book about the joys of being a woman.....especially in the south. Had some pretty funny analogies.

I am from the South and enjoyed this. One point I'd like to bring up is that I didn't expect it to be a collection of essays / newspaper columns. That kind of spoiled it for me a little bit. It was laugh out loud funny in many places, but I was expecting something more along the lines of a memoir with a plot that moves through the whole book.

Don't let that deter you from reading this, just be aware this is more Erma Bombeck than Jen Lancaster.

The lesser of all of Rivenbark's collections with the least number of wet-your-pants belly laughs, though the Bobbitt and Constipation Commercial chapters still sparkle and delight.

Funny look into "southernisms" that is both biting and charming at the same time. Only problem was the book was too short, I could read her stuff for days and days.

Rivenbark's second favorite book of mine. Stop Dressing if off the charts when it comes to humor, this is second in my book, and We're Just Like You is third. Haven't read Belle Weather yet and I can't wait!
If you haven't read Stop Dressing and you have a good sense of humor you're missing out!
