A sweet story, set in Ireland, of two old cheesemakers and the assortment of people who are drawn to their home and how their lives change because of it.

A gem of of a book, save it for a day when you just plain wish your life was simple. And if you have a little bit of Irish in your soul, it will take you home again.

(I just wrote a scathing review of a different book and am trying to atone by finding books I did like).

I give this a 5-star rating - it's about Irish humor, romance, cheese. I laughed out loud and was touched by the underlying humanity - rich, wonderful characters

What a delightful read! This is the 2nd book I have read by this author and I can highly recommend her books to anyone who enjoys well-written books based on food and magic! Lots of quirky, wonderful characters! This author reminds me of Sarah Addison Allen with her whimsical novels! Quick, satisfying read that will leave you looking at cheese with more respect next time you see it!

I love Sarah-Kate Lynch. Her stories are so original and she researches the country's craft that she is writing about. I recommend all of her books!

I thought this was a great book. The characters were interesting and it made me smile. I purchased it in hardback after reading the paperback because I liked it so much.

This is a wonderful book. It starts a little slow, but picks up quickly and sucks you right in. It has many unexpected and surprising twists. Be careful because it will make you want to eat cheese the whole time you are reading it. A Must Read!

I had a very hard time finishing this book. For some reason, I could not connect with any of the characters. I'm always looking for a book that makes me wish I knew the characters. This was a very lack luster book for me.

Read this book when you want to have a pleasant afternoon, with a smile on your face. Lynch's writing style flows easily with fun, quirky characters and story line. This is your book after one too many serious, hard-hitting, or just poorly written ones.

From the back of the book: Abby has been estranged from the family farm since her rebellious mother ran off with her when she was a small child. Kit is a burned-out New York stockbroker who's down on his luck. But that's all about to change, now that he and Abby have converged on an Irish dairy farm just in time to help Corrie and Fee, two old cheesemakers, in their time of need. Full of delightful and quirky characters-from cows who give their best milk only to pregnant, vegetarian teens to an odd collection of whisky-soaked men and brokenhearted women who find refuge under Corrie and Fee's roof--"Blessed Are the Cheesemakers" is an enchanting tale about taking life's spilled milk and turning it into the best cheese in the world.
