Uninteresting family drama in a Sci-Fi setting. Tons of exposition. Way too much day to day life detail that wasn't at all relevant to the story. The pace was slow as molasses. Not an enjoyable read for me.
Remote viewing and an unknowable alien. All they can do is watch.
