I'm a HUGE fan of Stephen King, but these two stories were not at all up to his usual standards. If I didn't know it already, I'd probably never guess he was the author. I can't believe I paid what I did for this!!

Stephen King has yet another homerun with this title! This is a book with 2 stories in it: "Blockade Billy" and "Morality", each about 60-80 pages long.
Blockade Billy is about a minor league baseball player with a secret to keep, and Morality is about a young married couple with bills to pay and a too-good-to-be-true offer.
Blockade Billy, being about baseball, has frequent mention of baseball jargon that might be hard to follow if one is unfamiliar with the game.
I thought both were very good, if light. I read the entire book cover to cover in one afternoon.

Really great short story by Stephen King. Love it from beginning to end. Also found it hard to put down. A really great book =-)

This book has 2 short stories in it. I was not really impressed by either one of them. I know he is a great writer, but he sure struck out on this one.
Wow - not a fan of this one! Didn't like either one of the stories. I am not sure why I hung in there to finish 'em ... just because they were so short I guess.
This was not one of Stephen King's best pieces. They both just felt flat and lifeless. It seemed like he rushed to write these and not in a good way.
This book is actually just 2 short stories, "Blockade Billy" and "Morality". I am not a big fan of Stephen King, mostly because of his style of writing. I don't care for his many blatant descriptions of language and parts of anatomy that may appeal to 10 year old males, perhaps. But he can be a good storyteller and both these stories were pretty good. It is a quick read that can be finished in one sitting.
