This is an incredibly well-written book. Horrors begun during the Civil War cause death and destruction in 1980s, bringing together two men so unalike they would never have met otherwise.
The characters are well-drawn, the story rich with history and detail. It is well worth reading.
This book is for adults -- the horrors are too well-drawn for suggestible adolescents.

A moving story of Elias Chacour, a Palestinian man of God who has a deep love for Jews and Palestinians alike. It is the first book to blend a true-life account with historical research in telling what really happened at the birth of modern Israel.
