Another excellent book by William Krueger. It kept me engrossed until the end.
When the corpse of a beautiful high school student is discovered on a hillside four months after her disappearance on New Year's Eve, all evidence points to her boyfriend, local bad boy Solemn Winter Moon. Despite Solemn's self-incriminating decision to go into hiding, Cork O'Connor, Aurora, Minnesota's former sheriff, isn't about to hang the crime on a kid he's convinced is innocent. In an uphill battle to clear Solemn's name, Cork encounters no shortage of adversity. Some -- like bigotry and bureaucracy -- he knows all too well. What Cork isn't prepared for is the emergence of a long-held resentment from his own childhood. And when Solemn reappears, claiming to have seen a vision of Jesus Christ in Blood Hollow, the mystery becomes thornier than Cork could ever have anticipated. And that's when the miracles start happening....
I thought this was a first-rate entry in the Cork O'Connor series. The author weaves a multi-layered tale that will draw you in immediately. I enjoyed this one very much.
I will rate this book as 3 1/2 stars. I enjoyed reading this book, but not to the extent of some of his other books.

This is the fourth entry in the Cork O'Conner series, but a new to me author. I listened to this in the car and was completely engaged. So many secrets and twists and turns, I never saw the end comming. I loved everything about the book, and intend to start with the first in the series very soon.
When a beautiful high school student is discovered on a hillside all the evidence points to her boyfriend a local bad boy, Solemn Winter Moon--Cork is the former sheriff of Aurora, Mn and is looking into the crime after Solemn has been arrested and Cork feels deep down he is innocent. This story grabbed from the very first and just keeps you reading as fast as you can.
3rd in this series.
Wow - Great mystery!
Blood Hollow is the fourth book in the Cork O'Connor series. Every book I've read so far in this series has been great. Filled with the atmosphere of northern Minnesota and characters so real that could almost they step off the page. This book has been the best of the series, though. It's got secrets upon secrets upon secrets.

Outdoor Minnesota setting, native American community and a compassionate sheriff
This book was okay, just not my kind of book. A beautiful girl is found dead and her boyfriend is blamed. He goes into hiding and reappears claming to have seen Jesus.
Another well written book by William Kent Krueger. He makes Cork O'Connor and everyone in the book every day people. He has a way of keeping me guessing Who-dun-it until the very end. His books are easy to read and will hold your interest all the way through.
