British humor, suptuously plotted
I have really enjoyed "backtracking" to book 1 after being introduced to Joe Sixsmith in book 3. The subtle humor, the well-developed characters, and the clever descriptions of setting all make these books great fun to read.
Sixmith's human qualities make him a very sympathetic character, and certainly anyone who has ever lived in close contact with a cat has to love Whitey.
