Very hot a mysterious. Time travel. Loved it.
It was a fair but very confusing read. I must note a few things about the story line. Three story lines actually.
The preface made no sense to me. Couldn't make which way was up or down. Re-read it 5 times and decided to ignore it in hopes the story will in the end explain it.
The story has two parts (MINI-SPOILERS OF SORTS ALERT)
The heroine buys a gem which takes her to the past (in Ireland) where she falls in love (can't figure why, the guy is insufferable, robs her, and forces her to marry him). She uncovers the evil sorcerer destroying the lord magician and his people and defeats him (there is a well defined twist) which catapults her back to her time in the future (with all her possessions confiscated by her husband intact).
Here comes the second part of the story. Only one night passed since she opened the doorway to the past. Comes morning, she is attacked by the reincarnation of the evil socerer from the past and kidnapped/rescued by the man her father tried to force her to marry 10 years earlier...(all are sorcerers). It turnes out that the unlikable kidnapper is reincarnation of her lord magician husband with whom she completed Celtic marriage ceremony to bind their souls forever. He also is the son of her daughter's daughter's daughter's daughter which was left as a newborn behind when the heroine was flopped back to her time without her having any say in it. ....(Confused yet?) .....
The last part of the story reads like a mystery, and is well organized. The big end has another big flip and is connected to the preface. Some of the preface starts to make sense, but only some of it. The whole birth of the sone is grousome and illogical. The end is spectacular and well worth all the confusion (NO SPOILERS......SORRY).
As for the adult scenes, feels like a man wrote them. I skipped most of them.
