The latest in prolific novelist Coulter's series of FBI thrillers once again features high-powered husband and wife team Dillon Savich and Lacey Sherlock. In the middle of a long-awaited vacation with their young son, the two are called to investigate the heinous midnight murder of a Supreme Court Justice, committed in the Court's library despite tight, round-the-clock security. Known as a moderate, Justice Stewart Califano was undoubtedly contemplating an upcoming case involving the death penalty for psychopathic juveniles when he was brutally garroted, his fingers sliced off as he struggled to escape. The FBI is aided in the case by the CIA, Secret Service and metropolitan police as well as by the judge's stepdaughter, an investigative reporter for the Washington Post. Yet within 48 hours, two of the Justice's young law clerks are murdered in the same grisly fashionthe lovable Daniel strangled with his own St. Christopher medal chain, and the formidable Eliza killed while she's on the phone with Savich. An unrelated supernatural side plot is distracting, and the case's solution comes from out of left field, but fans of the author's fictional duo will get their fixthe climactic face-off takes place in Savich and Sherlock's own living room.
Another great FBI mystery by Ms Coulter! Savich and Sherlock are working with local police and a reporter to solve the murder of Supreme Court Justice Stewart Califano.
Great book. I just loved it!!! Catherine Coulter is a great writer and I have not been disappointed with any of her books I have read so far. This is Book #9 in her FBI Thriller Series. A must read!
Husband and wife detectives, Sherlock and Savich, investigate the brutal murder of a Supremem Court Justice.
I could not get through the first chapter of this book - the conversations between the characters seemed so unnatural and totally unbelievable to me. It was such a distraction from the book that I didn't want to continue.
More Savich and Sherlock with another beauty and hunk thrown in! This is exciting.
Great story -- great suspense!
a gripping page-turner - one of her best FBI thrillers!
"A long weekend in the Poconos is cut short when FBI agents Sherlock and Savich are helicoptered back to Washington, D.C., to lead the investigation into the brutal murder of a Supreme Court Justice.
Savich allows Callie Markham, an investigative reporter for The Washington Post, to partner with local Metro Police liaison Ben Raven since shes got the inside track shes the stepdaughter of the murdered Justice.
Is the murder a terrorist act? Or is it something more personal? Within twenty-four hours theres another murder with the same M.O.
Savich and Sherlock are up against it this time, following leads that seem impossible to connect to the madness. But are they?"

This book was part of a group read. I didn't like it one bit. Others did, so I suppose if you like crime thrillers then you would like it.
FBI agents Savich and Sherlock return in a dazzling new FBI thriller that takes excitement to an all-time high.
Great read-another fine example of Coulter's work!
