First in the Debutante Dropout mystery. Humorous and a fun read.

good enough I plan to read others in this series.

This book was just alright, but I don't think I'll be reading more in the series. I really enjoy the more humorous end of the cozy mystery spectrum, and I didn't think Andy was very funny. I liked her character, but the whole debutante/rich-people thing got on my nerves after awhile.
Helpful Score: 2
Enjoy a romp through mystery and Dallas society with a most reluctant debutante. Andy is a free spirit more likely to be waiting tables in a topless bar than attending the high society functions scheduled by her mother - especially when Andy's on the trail of a murderer!

Great Book!

First in a series and it is a total hoot! Of course, it helps I'm a native Dallasite and know the locales and the attitudes so well. Lots of the conclusions I jumped to early on in the book did not pan out at the end and I enjoy being surprised. I'm really looking forward to reading more about Andy Kendricks and her rebellious attitudes toward Dallas high society.

I just finished this book and really liked it! I think I like it because it is set in Dallas which is the area of Texas that I live (although not in Dallas!) that I can relate to many places they mention. I also like that she is a web designer (I do that on the side) but wish they would talk about that more than they do. I think there has been one "scene" that talked about it.
a very enjoyable cozy, needs a little more development of the characters but I'm sure the 2nd one will be better

Great book!
A debutante who bucks the system and is her own person is called by her closest friend from high school. The friend is accused of murdering her boss and even though the deb hasn't seen her for 10 years she knows she cannot be guilty and sets out to prove it. Very good book.
Dallas heiress Andy Kendricks wants no part of the Dallas Jr. League life and a passel of 4-leggers! Good friend Molly O'Brien is accused of killing her boss....good series!
This book is great, I love the relationship between Andy and Cissie. The mysteries are fun to solve as well.
Enjoyable and at times funny little mystery.
A very enjoyable book. Great plot and development of characters.
Great book. Love the characters.
Andy, a web designer, must go under cover to help a friend set up for murder, much to the dismay of her very proper mother.
Not as cosy as I feared. Loved Andrea's mom, Cissy! I used to live in Dallas, though never a deb, so I really enjoyed picturing the places and streets mentioned. I have know some Cissys though and they are a hoot and a joy!
This book kept me guessing till the end.
Funny mystery
