Sunny and Jesse meet for the first time in this one while they are investigating a murder(of course). Like the writing of Parker, the clipped dialouge that makes each page easy to read and makes the story move along good without a lot of descriptions.
Another enjoyable entry in the Sunny Randall series. Too bad there will be no more. I may have to restart his other series in order to continue to enjoy his work.
Another Robert Parker fun read! Real page turner that keeps you guessing right to the end of the story. Enjoyed it very much!
I always liked the Jesse Stone series and now you can put a face to him of Tom Selleck, I haven't read many of the Spenser series, I've tried Sunny Randall books but they just kind of fall short for me, maybe it's the dog.
When an acquaintance recommended Robert B. Parker as an author whose books were absolutely worth reading, I decided to check one of his book out. It happened to be BLUE SCREEN. A tricksy plot. Likeable characters (as well as some not so likeable.) Some satisfying come-uppances . . . I enjoyed it immensely! Rats! As if a confirmed book-o-holic like me truly needed another set of exceptionally good books to dive into. Now I reeeaally need to go out and get the other books in this series. I recommend this highly to any mystery lover.
From back cover: Sunny Randall is hired by a sleazy producer to serve as bodyguard for his prize client--an impossibly spoiled B-list beauty whose backstory is full of deadly complications . . .

I love Parker's sarcasm and wit. Not a big fan of the Stone books, more a Sunny Randall fan. This crossover was the perfect mix of the two. As always, a little predictable, but in a safe, comforting way.
