Body Check is an Awesome book! I have read all four of Deirdre Martins books and let me tell you if you enjoy Body Check , then get and in this order Fair Play, Total Rush, and The Penalty Box. Martin has since released another called Hot Ticket, and has another coming out called Chasing Stanley, both of which I can't wait to read!

the first in the Blade Hockey team series, this is amout Janna McNeil and the captain of the team,Ty Gallaher. As far as I am concerned, it is the best of the bestest series! She write with intelligence, humor and emotion. WARNING; If you read this book, you will hooked and need to read the rest of them

I don't read much contemporary romances, I used to read historical romances and now find myself reading alot of paranormal series, but I was curious about the sports angle and am happy to say that I enjoyed this book alot.
I liked Janna's character alot ~ she was a great balance of what every woman is, strong, fiesty, at times uncertain of her own abilities but overcomes them without whinning or having a "pity party", and a very caring heart.
Ty ~ at first glance is a typical jock, but as the story progresses you really do see why he is the way that he is and despite everything you see what a great heart he has.
Looking forward to reading the rest of the series, and maybe understanding hockey just a little bit more.

What a fun book!
I had read the 2nd book in the series, "Fair Play" a few months ago and had a hard time getting my hands on this one. I'm glad I was finally able to. I really enjoy her writing and look forward to more books from her.
smart, funny
Not much of a hockey fan, so I was hesitant to read it, but I quickly fell in love with the story and the author. Am ordering the next in the series right now.
Couldn't put this book down. Very cute!
This was a great book. I read Fair Play first. I knew a little about Janna, but it was nice to know the story about why Theresa and Janna started their business, and the Lubov incident.
If you like the Hot Zone series from Carly Phillips then you will like this book.

Janna MacNeil, a tough, persistent newly-hired publicist, is in charge of changing the rep of the team from a rowdy bunch of party animals to a respectable, family-friendly group. Ty and Janna butt heads when she tries him to get him to do some PR, but attraction crackles between them in the meantime. When they finally do hook up, they both agree to keep things casual.. but it isn't easy for either to keep their feelings at bay.
My opinion? This is a great book, couldn't stop reading, didn't want to put it down, think I finished it in a day! Both are strong, likable characters and so real! Ty is sensitive even though he pretends he isn't! Janna is strong even though she thinks she's not! Hockey action was fun too. Love this one, definitely would recommend it :]
