Alvirah Meehan, the ever-resourceful former cleaning lady who struck it rich in the lottery, made her debut when she narrowly survived a stalking killer in the #1 bestseller, Weep No More My Lady. She returned, with her occasionally befuddled mate Willy, in the collection of unabridged, interconnected short stories presented in the S&S Audio favorite, The Lottery Winner. Now, Alvirah and Willy are back once again -- in two dazzling stories that complete the wonderful series: The Body in the Closet and Plumbing for Willy.
In The Body in the Closet, Alvirah discovers the strangled corpse of actress Fiona Winters in a closet in her Central Park South apartment when she and her husband, Willy, return front an adventure in London. Alvirah, a detective who never gives up, may learn too much about it for her own good. In Plumbing for Willy, Alvirah -- who has become something of a celebrity herself with her amateur sleuthing-among-the stars -- appears as a guest on a talk show. This gives some unfortunate ideas to a bunch of kidnappers who demand a hefty ransom far her hapless husband, Willy.
Written with the beloved author's trademark wit, romance, and keen eye for thrilling detection, these two stories are destined to join the family of Mary Higgins Clark perennial favorites!

This was my introduction to these GREAT characters, Alvirah and Willy! I've never read anything by Mary Higgins Clark and these 2 stories were so entertaining I'll have to seek out the novel that first brought these 2 to life. Made an uninteresting drive "fly" by.
