What happens when a hacker now employed under pain of imprisonment by a software company and with serious self-destructive issues creates an artificial intelligence program that takes on a life of its own? I did not like Victoria in the beginning, she was too hard, too twisted. But something about this book made me keep reading until I was so wrapped up in the story I resented interruptions. Has her edge of the seat ending and I found myself having strong emotional involvement with the characters.

This book was quite good. A futuristic view of Love and Artificial Intelligence. The tech talk is not to technical for an average reader-- yeat as a techie-- I found the discussions quite intrigueing, without talking down to the reader. The concepts here are thought-provoking. Not your average romance. I recommend it highly.

Victoria Barnhardt set out to create something brilliant, and she succeeded beyone her wildest dreams. With one keystroke, her program spiraled out of control...and something was born that defied possibility; a being who called to her.
He spoke from within a prison --seeking escape, release, seeking HER. He was amiracle that Vic had never intended. More than a scietific discovery, or a brilliant coup by an infamous hacker..he was LIFE...he was genius...and he needed to be released..and she could do it...
(Fans of the Matrix and Blade Runner will like this one!)

I couldn't really identify with the heroine in this one but the story was riveting and the author impressed me with her intelligence.

More than a scientific discovery, or a brilliant coup by an infamous hacker, he was life. He was beauty. He was genius. And he needed to be released. Just as Victoria did. Though the shadows of the past might rise against them, on one starry Los Angeles night, in each others arms, the paid would find a way to have each other and freedom both.

An entertaining book about a woman that falls for her own creation. Improbable but still a good read.

Body Electric is an unusual book. A lot like Science Fiction. Very Good.
