I liked the early Kathy Reich books, but this one was 'dumbed down' in my estimation. The plot was obvious the minute the dog disease was mentioned. But most annoying were the series of questions throughout the book and at the end of chapters. Like what am I a 12 yr old that I need the chapter summed up with questions about what I should be thinking about for the next chapter? Please. How about some better writing, adult complicated plot that is not obvious. This felt like a grocery store novel just to make easy money from people who don't read much.
