This is book 3 of the 3 book series. Very good reads. I like the dual time line. It is not only a murder mystery but a thriller, also.

A lot of research went into this book. You can feel the spirit world wrap around you as you read.
FROM THE PUBLISHER
"In the shattered Anasazi world, War Chief Browser and his second, Catkin, are horrified when a messenger from the Mogollon is murdered before divulging a secret concerning Poor Singer's prophecy. With his entire world in peril, Browser must determine who could want the young Mogollon warrior dead. But whom can he trust? The matron Blue Corn, or her conniving war chief? The Mogollon elder, who has his own desperate agenda? If they can find the answer, perhaps he can save their world."

Another great book by the Gear's. I highly recommend the whole series.
Book #3 - 8 hundred years later the murder & mystery continue in prestent day... Excellent series!!!!!
LOVED it... Highly recomended!
I absolutely loved this series. Just be sure to read the other 2 books first.
A very complicated read, but with incredible archeological detail. A good mystery. You need to have dedicated reading time to keep up with the plot.
This was a great read.
An excellent book which ties together two stories of the Southwest cultures of then and now: the 800 year old Anasazi tribal and religious warfare that tore families apart is woven into the modern story of family discord and murder. The archaeological detail is fascinating, and the characters are poignant and tough and enduring as the mysteries are solved. And it was over 650 pages which kept me guessing the whole way!
