While this book is a fascinating read, is it FULL of minor historical and factual inaccuracies. She either glosses or simply mis-reports a myriad of details about DRCongo's culture, geography, economy, and history. Those consistent mistakes make it hard to feel confident about ANY of the facts reported in the book, except for her bizarrely immature love story with her now-husband. Were it fiction, I'd recommend the compelling storytelling.

This is not a book about Bonobos - is also about war. Interesting read....I still don't believe we come from apes but interesting how different yet how alike we are. Well written.

A fantastically interesting read. Very real considerations of what makes the best and worst of sides of humanity. A lovely and important story. I've shared this with friends and family.
