I have some gardening books I'd like to swap but they weigh over 3 lbs. each, one over 4 lbs.  That will make the postage at least a dollar more than most books.  How does that work here?  Or is there any difference allowed for these hefty tomes?  (I'm new to PBS and don't know all the ins and outs yet!)

No, there isn't any difference unfortunately.  That's why I was kind of surprised to see this topic!

Later, I realized that they'd added it to every forum.  Most of the gardening books are kind of oversized, aren't they?  I have an entire encyclopedia set or something and they'd expect you to ship that for one credit too, lol.  It's old as dirt but I do use it a fair amount.

I just posted 4 great, seldom used (got in the swing of trying to grow everything--then, got out of the mood) gardening books.  They are in great condition.

Note:  Only the Alabama's Gardening Guide is left.

I have "A Guide to Bird Finding in New Jersey" dated 1994. It has minor water markings (could be coffee, I received it this way) on the bottom of the book. I feel it is unpostable so I will ship it free with any book ordered from my bookshelf. Just tell me you want it.

I also have back issues of Garden Gate (11 from 1996), Birds & Blooms (3), Fine Gardening (4), Horticulture (9 from 1996), Garden Design (6 from 1996). All are in nice shape and I would like them to have a new home. I will ship them all together in a flat rate box for 3 credits. I will consider trading for 3 books of my choice off your shelf as well.

If you wish not to download it that's fine I am just offering it to PBS friends with Gardening interest. Ether way have a wonderful evening.

PS for those of you who have extra pbs credits and would like to share I could use the credits to get books to help with 2 non-profit projects I am working on.. the first is a first year community garden needing gardening books and the other project helps local women in a personal manner and I use books to aid with this. This is not required because I will send the link ether way with any pm request I get.

Three great Taylor's guides  I'd like to send to the same home (to help decrease postage costs for rather heavy books).  From a smoke-free home, 1 dog, 2 occasional cats (not allowed to read the books).  Obtained used, but have been in my possession for awhile, and no smells or odors etc.  Two are wishlisted, 1 is not.   PM me if interested.

Taylor's Guide to Shrubs (Taylor's Guides to Gardening) :: Norman Taylor, Taylor's Guide (1 wishing)

All are in great condition inside, pages clean & attached to spine, no writing etc.  "Trees" & "Perennials" have small 1/2-1-1/2 inch brownish stains on spine, "Shrubs" has small 1/4-1/2 inch dots/splotches on bottom of page edges, but I don't think it's liquid as there is no damage & they don't bleed into books' inside pages.
