Great great book. Desi Arnaz writes surprisingly well about his life. You can almost hear him speaking. He talks about his life in Cuba as a young boy, his family life, what it was like coming to the United States as a young man and trying just to survive. It was so interesting that I didn't even care whether or not he talked about life with Lucille Ball. And yet he did talk about that life. No tearing down. No bitterness. He spoke very well about her and explained why the break-up. Very refreshing not to hear nasty gossip. Highly recommend this book.
wonderful book written by desi arnaz about his life
Great book about Desi Arnaz's life before Lucy, during and after. A very easy, informative read. You feel like he's there in the room telling you the story. Beware of foul language, though. He drops the F bomb constantly---part of his normal speaking. Not meant to offend or shock, just how he talks.
Great book -- really enjoyable. Someone on PBS shared this book with me even though it is fetching ridiculous prices online, so I really hope that the next person will be equally kind and re-post it so more people can enjoy this great story of a Hollywood legend!
