As a fan of her Enchanted Forest novels I was happily entertained by the short stories in this book. I also enjoyed her explanations of where the ideas for these tales came from. Wrede is quite gifted at establishing interesting characters, and while her narrative voice is not as richly textured as some other authors I love I do like her writing very much -- definitely enough to want to keep this book in my library.
