I obtained this through the kindness of a PBS comrade and it will go well for someone to kill some time at the nursing home. The book is well made (sturdy stitched), well illustrated, and the author shares with his readers quite a few small towns that are following the path blazed by Hay-On-Wye. They can disappear if the town becomes popular and rents rise. For example, there are now few used book stores in Los Angeles, although it is possible if one owns the building. But old brick buildings are not durable given earthquakes.
