This was an interesting read. It is powerfully honest, unforgettable story of two families, brought together by love and tragedy, each struggling to find their place in a new country. The writer shines a spotlight on how difficult life is for immigrants coming from Latino countries to enter the American workforce facing language and cultural barriers. The story is set in the Delaware area which was particularly interesting since in work and live in the area and read about local landmarks and business establishments. This book was selected by our local Presbyterian women's group to be the book discussion for an upcoming retreat. Considering some of the topics and wording, I found that a little surprising. Overall, a very well written, interesting story.
