When librarian Helma Zukas starts a Local Authors project, she can't foresee how many things are going to change, including the murders of two of the authors. But she's also fighting battles on the personal front -- her romance with the local police chief is on the ropes, her cat is missing (maybe catnapped), and her friend Ruth has returned to Bellhaven and taken over her spare room.
