Enjoyable story, good love scenes. For much of the story the hero is very slow at realizing the gem he's got, while the long-suffering heroine is doing her best to connect with him and make the marriage a success. Which I usually find annoying in a story. But when he very efficiently kicks outs her nasty, annoying relatives who come to visit unannounced, all was forgiven by me! Who wouldn't want a husband who can get rid of unwanted houseguests in the blink of an eye, lol?
Not a fan of Ranney's, but A Borrowed Scot was fairly decent. Not terribly exciting, but rather a gentle read that meanders slowing to the finish. The character development was good; I just had a hard time with Montgomery's lack of communication. Veronica was the gem here, but she didn't shine bright enough to save the story. I give it an average 3 stars.
Another great one by Karen Ranney. You will be cheering on both characters all the way threw this story. Can't wait for the next one
