I wanted to give this book five stars just because of the unlikely hero, but had a difficult time getting through some of the debauchery. I understand the need to paint certain characters in a very bad light, but at least half of the sex scenes felt gratuitous and didn't do much in my eyes to add to or advance the plot. I greatly enjoyed the ending of the book, but wish the author had taken a slightly different path to get there. It is an interesting take on the dynamic between several of the Robin Hood characters, although the Merry Men have little to no presence in the book.

I was so excited when I got this one, but I was incredibly disappointed in it. Her first two were erotic but very emotional and still love stories. This was a bunch of fluff until about three/fourths of the way through. I'd still want to read it, but if you liked her first two, you will probably be disappointed in this one.

I gave this book a low rating of only 1 star
Although I liked the interesting perspective on the traditional Robin Hood story, much of the sex was gratuitous and just random. Describing the depravity of Prince John's court could have achieved much the same result. Readers are not stupid--we can get the idea without numerous, poorly-written explicit encounters to paint a terrible picture. And, I'm sorry, but most women would not find themselves orgasming uncontrollably as Maid Marian does on several occasions. If a woman is feeling alarmed or repulsed by a situation, it doesn't matter who touches her or how, she isn't gonna get there.
Too bad: if this author had focused on the story and her interesting dynamics between several familiar characters, she could have had a decent book--and a much better score.
