Cork O'Connor heads into the wilderness with an unlikely search party to rescue a young country singer. Unfortunately, they're not the only ones looking and not everybody wants the woman to come out of the Boundery Waters area alive.
Excellent book. Krueger makes his characters as real and flawed and wonderful as possible.

Cork's saga continues. Really good "page-turner".

fun, quick read. If you are from MN and know the Boundary Waters it makes it even better because you can recognize some of the places they are talking about.

Excellent book! I've read all his books and each one is a page-turner. Minnesota author and his books are set in Minnesota. If you are from MN you will recognize many names and places. Also a lot of Native American perspective.
This is the 2nd book in the series. From the 1st chapter the drama begins in the search for Shiloh who's a country singer gone missing. I enjoy this book's reference to Native American's. Look forward to reading the 3rd book in the series.
I enjoyed this book so much that I will definitely read others in the series. I love the setting; the characters were credible and interesting; and there was lots of outdoor action. I am not ready to post this book to share because other family and friends are reading it!
This is the 2nd of the Cork O'Connor thriller/suspense series and I liked it much better than the first. Action takes place in the Quetico-Superior Wilderness as Cork and a cadre of both good and bad guys search for a
famous country western singer.
famous country western singer.
This entry in the Iron Lake series finds Cork O'Connor fighting for his life as he is drawn in to a web of deceit that involving a popular Native American musician and a California politician. Krueger does it again with his interesting characters and excellent plot development.
Former sheriff Cork O'Connor leads an expedition into the wilderness to hunt for a missing woman.
Set in Minnesota, this mystery takes you for a ride. It's sort of like a Tony Hillerman with snow.
good series to keep up with, usually outdoor adventures involved
An early William Kent Kreuger book featuring Cork O'Conner, who is asked by three men to help find Shiloh, a famous country singer, who is lost in the boundary waters of Minnesota and Canada. All three men claim to be her father. Kreuger is knowledgeable and sympathetic to the Native Americans in the area, and they are featured in all the books of his that I've read. There are characters to care about and the setting is interesting and authentic.
