The movie, "The Box" is based on the first story in this collection. Great stories full of imagination. None of these stories could actually happen but they entertain and give one pause to think!

Anyone who likes or loves short stories-this is a must read. The stories goe fast and they end great. A very enjoyable way to spend a moment here and there between mundane daily tasks. These stories are sustantially readable with well developed characters, a neat little plot, and an ending that always goes KAPOW-one you didn't see coming.

I could not set this book down after I got it. Truly a page turner. I was completely submerged in this book from the first sentence. I would highly recommend this book to anyone. Normally I avoid books that that are just short stories because my brain refuses to separate them. I love it!

I thought this was a neat read. Different stories. Some just chilling tales of greed and some scarey. This was written by the author of I Am Legend, so this will tell you what kind of stories are between these pages. If you were told that you could make a fortune just by pushing the button on a box, but pressing the button will simultaneously cause the death of another human being somewhere in the world, would you still push the button?????

This is a pretty cool book! It's a collection of short stories by Richard Matheson. All of the stories are pretty much about ordinary people who have uncanny things happening to them (good and bad). There is a sprinkling of Science Fiction in the book. Each story is told in a unique style which fits the setting and plot.

It's a very offbeat book and a (mostly) easy read. I'd recommend it to someone who is looking for something a bit abnormal to read.
