You won't, of course, expect this slim volume to offer "all there is to know" about attention deficit and hyperactivity, alcoholism, autism, deja vu, dyslexia, handedness (and what makes "lefties" different), perfect pitch, photographic memory, seasonal affective disorder, or synsthesia -- but it does give an interesting overview of all these topics, with some interesting tidbits you may not have known about them.
A chapter is devoted to each of the "brain differences" mentioned above, and within each chapter a sort of question-and-answer format breaks the info up into easily-manageable sections. Good for a sit-down-and-read-straight-through read or just to pick up and read a bit now and then. Includes some individual cases and some clinical research data. Overall, the information still seems to be fairly accurate, though the publication date is 2000.
