I fell in love with this book before I had gone 5 pages. Quite a new spin on the cozy mystery themes. The MC has inherited a castle, yes a castle, in upstate New York from an uncle. She comes from NYC to the small and quirky town of Autumn Vale to check out her inheritance, Wynter Castle, and get it ready to sell. Of course she finds the castle in desparate need of help, starting with the huge holes someone has excavated in her front lawn - what's up with that? Good action and character development. Highly recommend. This author has another cozy series, the Vintage Kitchen Mysteries which are very good as well.
