Even if like me you'd guessed it early on, this was still a thrilling read and I didn't want to put it down. Finished it in one day and loved the way the scare factor started out light and got more intense almost immediately..all the way to the end pages.

B. A. Paris is a master of suspense! I couldn't put this book down!! The plot twists were so intriguing to me, especially the end, of course.

Cass is caught in a terrible rainstorm and decides to break her promise to her husband by driving home via a shortcut road that they both agree is too dangerous to drive during this downpour. When driving on the shortcut, Cass sees a car parked on side of road, with a woman sitting inside. It's raining too hard to get out of her car so Cass drives on, hoping the woman has already called for help. The next day, she finds out the woman in the car was killed, and it happens to be someone she knows!! Now she's wracked with guilt for not stopping, and for not telling her husband that she drove the shortcut home! With all of this guilt, she feels like she's losing her mind: forgetting small things like appointments, where she parked her car, even buying a baby pram when she's not expecting.

No spoiler alerts here. You'll have to read this gem to find out what happens!
I've since read Behind Closed Doors and will be looking for other books by this author!
